Let’s see if this works…

The wireless touchscreen tablet computer bliss that I described last week was short-lived. Yesterday I planned to return the power adapter that refuses to charge. I gathered the requisite paperwork and decided to test one more time before heading off to the friendly wireless touchscreen tablet computer retail store. Now, suddenly the power adapter works again. Simultaneously, the WiFi no longer works. Again. So, no trip to the mall of malls. I can’t return a charger that charges. And the WiFi issue can’t be discussed, because in the wireless touchscreen tablet computer retail store world there is no issue. A previous attempt at that discussion quickly spiraled into an explanation of corporate restocking fees. Perhaps one has to choose between a product that charges and a product that works with WiFi. Pick one, but you cannot have both. Or was the one day of WiFiness an anomaly caused by the recent solar tsunami? In other news, I got my teeth cleaned. They hurt now.

The wireless touchscreen tablet computer has benefited greatly from the recent incremental OS update. For the first time since Father’s Day the damn thing communicates with my home WiFi. This makes the product experience much more enjoyable. And cost effective. Combined with the acquisition of a very cool application named Loopseque and some video of David Byrne joining Crowded House live onstage, I really had fun with the wireless touchscreen tablet computer last night. Until I found that the power adapter no longer charges the unit. Some testing showed that the failure is with the adapter, as I was able to charge the unit using a car charger. By the time I drive home this afternoon I hope to be charged 100%. Then I can find the receipt and make a visit to the friendly wireless touchscreen tablet computer retail store.
