Eight years ago. I managed merchandise for the band. Bert had to show me how to use the wireless credit card machine. I was very concerned that I’d screw something up, but most of the transactions were cash. The Mercury is a small place with a tiny stage at one end.
I spent the evening at the other end of the room near the back door. The band gave me a stack of CDs and after the concert showed me a DVD they were working on at the time. These are newer photos but the place hasn’t changed very much.
Three years ago. I wrote something about this show. Right in this here blog.
Last night we smoked two Boston Butts for the big party next weekend. After nineteen hours cooking, they began cooling. The butts were already filling the sheet with “Black Gold” which appears a bit red in these pics.
One butt unwrapped. That plate is two feet long.

26 years ago. Timbuk3 opened. I may have enjoyed it a bit more than Mr. Cromelin did.
